Child Care at the YMCA of Greater Nashua
The YMCA offers before and after-school childcare that provides support to your child. Their early learning center, school age childcare, and more are great ways to keep your child busy! Before and After school programming at the Y is specially geared towards safety, health, social growth, and academic achievement.
Creative Years’ before and after school program was developed to meet the needs of elementary school-age children and working parents. Transportation between our center and your child’s school is available. We provide breakfast for the children before they are driven to nearby elementary schools. When they arrive at our center after school, they are given a snack, offered help with homework and provided with activity choices.
Members arrive at our centers via our buses. Upon arrival, members sign-in and are offered a healthy snack. They are given informal time to decompress from the school day, work on homework, and socialize with other members and staff in a supervised but unstructured setting. Members are also offered structured programs that allow them to learn to take leadership roles, improve their health and fitness, and further their education.
Waypoint Nashua Family Resource Center (FRC)
Waypoint’s Family Resource Center helps families with young children access the care and support they need to thrive. From home visiting and early childhood development programs to assistance finding quality child care, Waypoint offers personalized help at no cost. Their team also provides diapers and basic necessities, playgroups, and connections to trusted local services, all in a welcoming, inclusive space.
Head Start & Early Head Start (NH)
Head Start and Early Head Start offer free, high-quality early childhood education and care for children from six weeks to five years old. With a focus on school readiness, these programs support each child’s development while also helping parents access wrap-around services like transportation, nutrition, and parent education. Full-day, year-round care is available for working families, and diapers, wipes, and formula are provided at no cost. Families using NH child care scholarships are welcome.
This NAEYC-accredited program offers full-time, year-round care for children from 6 weeks through Pre-K.
