EnviroKidz offers a free nature program for camps and schools called Ecokeepers. This is a hands-on, exploration-based activity that harnesses kids’ natural curiosity and sense of discovery and blends a traditional activity passport for kids to fill-in with a modern-day treasure hunt that uses GPS on smartphones to find hidden caches.
Parents… here is what you can do:
- Share the Ecokeepers program with your child’s classroom, school, afterschool program or club. Let your teachers and leaders know they can request it for free, and it complements science and physical education curriculum.
- Pull out your smartphone and download the free geocaching app: geocaching.com
- Visit Ecokeepers and download the free e-version of the Ecokeepers explorer guidebook (here’s a secret - this is a learning tool that is disguised as a super fun exploration activity!)
- Pack some healthy snacks. A favorite of ours is EnviroKidz Peanut Free Bars, the new, yummy organic, peanut free granola bars!
- Go outside to get started experiencing nature and help kids build a lifelong relationship with nature.
