🎉 Special Story Land Deal Alert!!! Buy your 2022 Season Pass 🎉

A trip to the White Mountains of NH wouldn't be complete without a trip to Story Land...and I've been waiting for years to share the first Story Land trip with my little ones. I’m thrilled to share that we recently experienced this magical theme park and it was everything we hoped it would be…and more! This fabulous place tucked away in Glen, NH has entertained families with young children for over 60 years, with 23 uniquely themed rides, exciting live shows, interactive play areas, storybook characters, and all your favorite nursery rhymes. New generations of children, parents, and grandparents visit every year to share past memories and create new ones in the Land Where Fantasy Lives!

Plus, right next door is the Living Shores Aquarium. We’re excited for our next trip back to check this spot out, but this article is all about Story Land!

MACARONI KID INSIDER TIPS

In advance of our Story Land trip I spoke with many friends and family to get tips. We also discovered a few gems ourselves.

Here’s the inside scoop on what to know before you go:

  • Tickets - If you have a day ticket you ALSO need to register for the date you wish to visit in advance. If you were required to choose a day of visit at the time of purchase, your ticket is your reservation and you do not need to make a separate reservation. Season Passholders are not required to make reservations to visit the park. (FYI - They have suspended go late afternoon and good the next day ticket access!)
  • Food - You CAN bring your own food and water ($$ savings)–though they do sell many tasty treats for you to enjoy. Plus, at the World Pavilion Kitchen you can relax in the shade at a picnic table and watch the Huff Puff & Whistle train roll by!
  • What to wear - If you love water attractions or have toddlers that are often wet n' wild... bring a change of clothes! Wearing UV protecting, water resistant clothing is a great idea. If you don't want to get wet you definitely can avoid it, but I will say that the Splash Battle was equally enjoyed by my 3 year old and my hubby.
  • For those with tots - Even if your littles are very little there's still plenty of fun to be had at Story Land. My two year olds favorite spots were: 1. the singing bamboo near the Bamboo Chutes 2. the Dig m Deeper Play Area 3. the "milking" cow
