Get ready for some fun with stories!! January 24th is National Shelfie Day and January 30th - February 6th is National Storytelling Week and Macaroni Kid Nashua is here to celebrate the joy of adventures with you.
National Shelfie Day is celebrated on the fourth Wednesday in January and is a day where we celebrate our bookshelves and libraries! Books used to be coveted by various organizations and nobility in past centuries but over time, literacy and the spread of knowledge created libraries for the public and people could afford books for themselves at home. So don't forget to share your shelfie with the world on January 24th. Whether it's your own books or hanging out at your local library, every shelfie matters!
National Storytelling Week celebrates stories of all lengths, genres, and medium. Stories originated in the form of oral storytelling and then evolved into written stories. With the advancements of technology, we now have recorded oral stories - audiobooks - and visual storytelling in the form of movies and television shows. No matter how you prefer to absorb your favorite stories, take some time between January 30th and February 6th to relax and enjoy yourself with a book, audiobook, or other storytelling device.
