Bounded on the north and east by Baboosic Brook, the park derives its name from the two bridges that have, in one form or another, been used to cross the brook since colonial times. The massive stones used for the original bridge abutments still anchor today’s bridges.
Walking the paths along the brook and adjacent lowlands takes hikers through woods dominated by American Hemlock trees (Tsuga canadensis). Witchhazel trees (Corylopsis spp.) are the predominant understory growth.
Activities featured at Twin Bridge Park include scenic walking paths, the Kids Kove children’s play area, Little League baseball at Bise Field, and half-court basketball. Picnic tables are available. This park is also the location of the Merrimack Youth Association (MYA) headquarters building.
