The celebration will begin on June 30th at Souhegan High School with an Amherst Town Band Concert, fireworks, food, and a variety of events. Plan to bring your chairs and enjoy the entertainment. The Fourth of July Committee has worked hard to make this an excellent celebration for all!
Fireworks
Fireworks will be set off from behind the athletic field beginning at dusk. Stadium bleacher seats will be available, but the track and field will be locked to protect the artificial turf. When darkness falls, Atlas Pyrovision Entertainment will put on a fireworks show that will delight you all! They have requested that no drones fly over the field for safety reasons.
Rain Date
The rain date for the Fireworks will be held in September. Date to be determined.
Parking
Donations are gratefully accepted for parking at Souhegan High School. All proceeds go directly to offset the increased cost of fireworks.
Handicap Parking
Handicap parking will be available in the lot by the high school annex. The road to this parking lot will be closed to the general public.
Bathrooms
The bathrooms near the athletic fields will be available as well as PortaPotties.
Face Painting
Children can have their faces painted from 5:30 to 7:30. The line will close at 7:15.
Magician
Join us for the magician's show from 6:15-7:15.
Sunday Avenue Band
Join us for music provided by Sunday Avenue Band beginning at 7:15.
Amherst Town Band
The Amherst Town Band will perform beginning at 8:15 until the start of the fireworks.
Food
Enjoy Sal's pizza, Jakes Ice Cream and the always popular slushies. The Lion's Club will also sell hot dogs and hamburgers. *As internet service is spotty, all sales will be cash only.
Glo-necklaces
Everyone needs a glo-necklace for the fireworks! The committee will sell them for $2 each. *As internet service is spotty, all sales will be cash only.
Stickers
The Fourth of July Committee will sell commemorative stickers at the information booth. *As internet service is spotty, all sales will be cash only.

Fourth of July Committee
The Fourth of July Committee is a group of community minded people who give their time and energy to contribute to this celebration.
